Just to let you know that over the next couple of weeks we are going to be updating our website.
This will give us a complete new look as we thought that it was about due for a refresh.
Don't worry though as we will keep disruption down to a minimum so there should be no delays in getting all your orders out.

A belated Happy New Year.

Well it's the third of January 2010 ( how fast did 2009 disappear ) so I thought I would take the opportunity to wish all of you a very happy New Year. Hope you had as good a New Years Eve as I did ( hence the delay in posting the Happy New Year blog posting !!! ).
My goals for this year are quite simple.
1) Keep making the handmade jewellery ( necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings ) - hope you like what I created in 2009 and that you like this years peices even more.
2) Get Richard to get the finished jewellery on the website quicker than he did in 2009 as he is not the quickest at that !!
3) Increase the range of findings available ( over 40 different items currently available.
4) Get some beads sourced and listed on the website.
5) Get some craft fairs booked.
6) Keep the blog and news sections more up to date as I admit I do tend to neglect these areas.
7) Increase the length of the day to 26 hours as there just isn't enough time with only 24 hour days.

Ok so the last one might be a little far fetched but the others I will make sure happen.
Hope the New Year brings all you wish for.

Debbie

Not written much, if anything, on my blog for a while.
Just published my first newsletter, needs a little tinkering to get it how I want it to appear for future issues but I am sure it will grow over the next few months.
Been away for three weeks to recharge the batteries since I last posted ( Florida and a cruise taking in Jamaica and Grand Cayman ) but now I am back. Got a jewellery party next Thursday, 10th December which is keeping me busy after I have finished work each night.
Hubby is listimg the findings we sell on Ebay and sales are begining to pick up on there again.
Aim is to start building some beads on here in the next few months which should grow the site and to get some more of the jewellery on here but, apparently, that depends on the weather for lighting conditions ( David Bailey or what !! ).
Keep checking back on the site to see how things are progressing and if enough people ask I may post some of the holiday snaps !!!

Bit of a milestone reached with the listing of the 100th item in the Hunnisucklebeads shop !!! The 100th item listed  was the "cascade" handmade necklace.
Just need to get the other
one hundred or so items that are still waiting to be photographed and listed and we might be getting somewhere !!

Been so busy recently I haven't had time to update the blog or barely anything on the website !!
First off, the jewellery party went really well but it made me realise how difficult it is to cater for every taste and every age group. The younger ones are after totally different things to the mid twenties which is totally different to the mid thirties which is totally different to what the more mature ladies like. It's just so hard !!
I made a gorgeous necklace out of the vegetable ivory beads I got on the way back from Devon. It was that nice it never even made it onto the website as it was snapped up in no time at all.
Speaking of the website - need to get the husband to get some of the more recent designs on here. He seems to be having the same problem as me at the moment where there just aren't enough hours in the day. He got up on Saturday with all intentions of getting loads done on listing products and ended up just getting the one new line on !! Didn't help that we had to make an emergency trip to Bedazzlebeads as we were low on Pendants for Sunday.

Been a busy last couple of days as I am doing a jewellery party tomorrow night. Spent the last two evenings getting all the handmade jewellery that I am planning on taking together - it's times like this you realise just how many individual items that you have made. The things that are on this website only scratch the surface of the things that I have made because it takes my husband longer to get photos of the jewellery that meet his exacting standards to go on the website than it does for me to make each piece. There are times I tell him to just get a "snap" taken and put them up there for people to see. To be fair though he is getting better and I suppose I wouldn't be happy if the pictures didn't go at least half way to doing the things I have made justice !!!
Will let you know how the party went sometime over the weekend - wish me luck

Just had a wonderful couple of days away in Sunny !! Devon visiting bead shops and just relaxing from the day to day stress of life in general. It was bliss.
Visited the bead store in Barnstaple and Jenecas in Torrington while we were down there and there is nothing to beat a visit to a bead store for recharging the batteries - well that works for me anyway.
Also indulged in a Devon Cream tea which was excellent but I am sure I could have managed a couple more while I was down there.
On the way back called in at another bead shop in Bristol, Bambas which had a great selection of beads. Picked up some great vegetable ivory which I'm going to make something special out of which will be on the website soon.
